TOKARA is currently a semi-professional group based in
Iida City/Achi Village. However, the group is operated and
members train as in a professional Japanese wadaiko group.

Nearly four years have passed since TOKARA
was created, yet the group has already become well-known
both in Japan and internationally.
Yearly events include two to three international tours
varying in length from ten days to two months each,
as well as many performances and concerts here in Japan.

TOKARA has started on the path to grow into a twelve member strong professional performing group.
